I am currently in the middle of one of the larger events in endurance sports in Utah. The Wasatch Back Relay is a 12, or 6, person relay along the Wasatch Front. Thanks to Imagine Learning  and the Dept. Of Ed. 7 teams of educators are exploring this fun event.
Being the token trail runner I ghad the pleasure of running the only section of trails at Snowbasin. Then I descended into the town of Morgan.  For the next 5 or so hours I can rest while the other teammates complete their second legs. For many this will not only be their first night run, by he greatest number of miles cumulatively in a 24 hour period.
Here’s to a little shut eye and wishful thinking to those who are venturing out.
For the Ultra runners, one has to wonder if it is easier to run through the night or take turns as in a Ragnar. Any thoughts.
