MillCreek 50k

June 8, 2012

Courtesy of Christian Johnson here is a artistic illustrated map detailing the course.

For those who know, and those who want to, the Millcreek 50k will be on Friday July 20th at 9 PM. This will be a down canyon year, so the race will start at Upper Big Water and finish across the street from the Millcreek Inn.

Prearranging your car shuttles would be appreciated. Look for maps and more information in the coming weeks. For more information on this run go here.  Get in contact with me if you have questions.  Remember there is no registration, no fee, but lots of fun.
Hope to see you there.

That run is Ken’s baby and Rich has done a great job of keep it alive. Eric does the Granduer Fun Run, another great course.

New to the blog and MillCreek 50K. Is this a night run or did you mean to say 9 AM?

      Hey Brian,
Not a typo. This run starts at 9pm. Fortunately, you don’t have to worry about warm temperatures.

Thanks for posting information about the race. I’m looking forward to it. Is it ok to park a car on the road at Church Fork?

      Hey Ryan,
Totally fine. Along with shuttling other random runners back to the start. Spirit of the trail.

      Millcreek Canyon 50k

This years fun run will be Friday July 19th @ 9:00pm. Two Aid stations at Elbow fork (mile 10) and Dog lake (mile 21). Arrange your own car shuttle. I will send out the great map drawn by Christian & mark the course accordingly with reflective tape.

Hey, I’m new to the blog and interested in running the Millcreek 50k. Is it just a “show up and run” type of race? What can I do to help provide for aid stations?

      Hey Matt,
You bet this is a show up and run. While ‘only’ 50k, it can be quite the challenge. Any ‘aid’ is encouraged and can be brought to the beginning of the run. This year it will begin at the west face below grandeur.
